Hotly-tipped Swedish indie-rockers Francobollo have just shared 'Hoo Ha', the first new music since their 2017 debut album Long Live Life. Once again teaming up with Square Leg Records head honcho and producer extraordinaire Charlie Andrew (Alt-J, MONEY), 'Hoo Ha' is another highly accomplished slice of wonky indie rock. Anchored by a gutsy guitar riff, 'Hoo Ha' yo-yos between chaotic instrumental sections and pristinely-produced pop-inspired verses. Discussing their inspiration behind the track the band explained, “Hoo Ha is a song that came out of a jam. It sounded like a riff that Hoo Ha’s (one of our favourite bands, and dear friends of ours) would play. We named it “Hoo Ha” straight away. When it came to write lyrics, I thought: What does Hoo Ha mean to me? Immediately I thought of the Houses of Parliament, and the way British politics are. And here it is”. Francobollo head off to SXSW next month to play alongside a string of TMR faves including LIFE, Our Girl, Catholic Action, Boniface and Breakfast Muff. -HLMX
